Alpe di Rodengo e Luson

What is five times better than the Seiser Alm?

The Seiser Alm is beautiful. So beautiful that we can't blame any of the thousands of tourists who want to see this natural beauty. And now we're going to be a little cheeky, and we hope no one will hold it against us. But: The Rodenecker-Lüsner Alm may not be as famous as the Seiser Alm. However, it may even be a more worthwhile destination. Here are five good reasons why the Alpe di Rodengo e Luson makes its ‘big sister’ look quite old:

1. Because not everyone is here – only the right people.
There's no question about it: the Seiser Alm is chic and the whole world wants to see it. You can feel it. Not only in high season. Our Alpe di Rodengo e Luson, on the other hand, is still a real insider tip. For nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. Covering an area of around 20 km², you can enjoy sporting activities or simply relax at altitudes ranging from 1,500 to almost 2,200 metres above sea level. Did you know that the Rodenecker Lüsner Alm is not the largest but the longest high alpine pasture in Europe?

2. Because the views here are even more expansive.
Just look at this magnificent panorama. To the south are the Dolomites and the Brenta Group, to the north the Zillertal Alps. Look west and you will see the Ötztal and Stubai Alps. On a clear day, South Tyrol's highest mountain, the Ortler, glitters on the horizon. To the east, you can see the Hochfeiler and other Pfunderer mountains, and to the south, their big sister, the Langkofel, greets you. When you climb the Astjoch, you can turn and twist as you please. 360 degrees of pure mountain enjoyment await you.

3. Because the pace here is human again.
Here with us on the Rodenecker-Lüsner Alm, no one rushes you. Certainly not to the next photo spot for Instagram fans. Take it easy and go hiking. Let happiness find you. Right by the side of the trail. Come, sit down. Maybe you'll get some company? Sometimes you have to wait a long time for it. Wonderful.

4. Because the alpine meadows here smell like the good old days.
In summer, gentians, alpine roses and even orchids bloom. When the alpine farmers let the hay dry in the sun, just like in the old days, you can feel that the world is still in order here. This is where the soul of South Tyrol still lives. Wonderfully authentic and delightfully old-fashioned.

5. Because here you don't just look good, you truly breathe freely.
Looks may be important on the Seiser Alm. Here with us, we don't care what you look like. Although, that's not entirely true. We want you to look happy. That's important to us, and that's why we do everything we can here at Runa to make sure you feel good. Fresh air, peace and quiet, good food and genuine hospitality are definitely part of our secret recipe for an unforgettable holiday in the most beautiful alpine pasture in South Tyrol: the Alpe di Rodengo e Luson.
